Well, we can finally say that it snowed. At least in Orange County, NC it did. It started on Saturday around 2 and didnt stop until after midnight. It was beautiful! We all got a chance to play in it and do the typical snowball fight and snowman. It wasnt until later that we realized that we had left out the snow angels. All in all, it was great, and Gabby had a blast. This was the first real snow for her and once she figured out that she could eat the stuff, all she wanted was snow. I had to put some in a cup just to get her in the house. I never realized that 2 yr olds could be so stubborn. As you will also see, we spent the day prior to the snowing playing in the yard and riding Josh's dirt bike. Niki, my oldest, finally drove it, and is convinced that she doesnt need a man, just a job and she can have her own bike. (she is in her last year of nursing school) Even Gabby got on it and loved it. You couldn't get her off of the thing. I had to laugh though, she did not smile the entire time she was on it, but try and get her off and she would scream. I don't get it, she is definately her daddy's girl, next he will want her to ride on the Harley with him. It always starts out small and then it blows up on you.

 

Anyway, I got a rude awakening on Monday. There may have been snow at my house, but when I started listening to the news, (fingers crossed that the roads were bad and impassible) I quickly learned that all of the snow in Wake Co was gone. So, miserably I had to get ready and go in, fussing the whole way. I guess I should be happy, but I would have killed for a day at home. Well, so much for wishful thinking, huh?? I think North Carolina is the only state that I can go outside and freeze to death one day and the very next day wish that I had opted for something other than the sweater I'm wearing.

Well, "it" has happened!! The North Carolina lock down call has happened. Too bad those of you not in NC missed it. I was surfing yesterday and came across a fellow NCer's blog about the call for snow and how you needed to get bread milk and beer. These things are all true. During any, and I do mean ANY incliment weather, your presence is required, not requested, at the local grocery store, gas station, country/corner store. This is so you can get as much bread, milk and for some beer, as you can carry. Now, has anyone other than me ever wondered what the bread is for?? What about lunch meat or PB&J??  (Most of the time the power goes out, and PB&J is the only option)

 

I have only seen the necessity of going to the store for those particular items only one time in the past, and we had 22 inches of snow then. Of course, until last night when my son calls and said that my 2 yr old will not have any milk if I don't pick some up. I deviated and became "one of those people" On the way in, everyone I passed had at least 1 gallon of milk and I couldn't tell you about the bread. (got too distracted with the panic I was feeling that I may have come too late) My child is not a pretty sight if there is no milk in the house.

 

Anyway, I hope you like the pics of the "SNOW" we had. I think I actually giggled when I say it. I have to say though, it did give me 2 extra hours at home with the kids, so who am I to complain??

Hey everyone!! I hope all of you had a wonderful Holiday, and of course the New Year to come. Ours was wonderful, but busy, which is nothing new in my household during this time of the year. So far, we had the joy of changing our living room around, painted, new furniture and all, I will try to get those photos in here. Then it was Thanksgiving and then it was time for Christmas, which just meant more money going out, that is always the part that sucks!!! Anyway, we pulled off 2 parties  at the house, took more pictures than I can count and ate more food than should be legal , and more late nights wrapping than I care to admit, but we survived. Now I have to figure out where I will find room for my child's new toys. Josh got a bunch of clothes and Dwayne got him a dirt bike, which he has been instructed to teach Josh how to ride when I am not around. We have all been sick, and better and sick again, but everyone is here and sends their love!! If I can, I will attach some photos of the painting fiasco, which turned out better than expected, as well as the 2 parties and some morning Christmas pics. Ok! So all of you that know me, are going to love this one... I, of course  went to Fall Bike Week this past weekend, and I should have followed my first instinct when things started going wrong. It started out Friday, I had wished that the day would fly by, and unfortunately, it did. Kim, my best friend, picked up my kids to kinda speed up the process for us to get out of here, but of course, that couldn't go off without a hitch. After she picked up both Josh and Gabby, she ended up getting stuck in traffic and rain, and then just before she gets to my shop, Gabby throws up in the truck . Can you see how the rest of the story is gonna go? Anyway, although I was to get off work @ 4:45, I didnt get out of here until 6pm. But, we were finally off, and running.

 

 About 30 miles outside of Myrtle, Gabby gets sick again, and we finally got there around 10pm. This trip is really sucking at this point. Well, that evening, I sent Kim out on the bike with Dwayne, and they get pounded by rain. (Great Best Friend, huh?) But they make it back alive, and only wet. Saturday wasnt too bad, Kim got to see the burn out pit at SBB, she liked it (is there any wonder why we are friends?) We took a bunch of pictures  and for the most part had fun. Sunday, whole other story...we got up, ate and Kim and I wanted to do the shopping we really hadn't had a chance to do, so we went to Broadway at the Beach, while the bikes went home. Big Mistake!!! We went shopping, had a great time, and then headed home. We just did get into Brunswick Co. and that is when I saw him....a little too late. There was a po-po sitting in the median and when I looked down, I was doing 63mph, going into a 45mph zone. Although I hadnt made it there, I knew I was in trouble. Long story short, the "Pink Ones" I use to be so fond of giving, I received. So, all of you that I use to talk trash to, you can now return that favor. And of course, the rest of the way home, I set the cruise control and was going at a snails pace the rest of the way home. Dont you just love life???

Well, it was my birthday  yesterday, I am now a whole 33 years old and had a great day! I got money for shopping, cards, lunch with the hubby, dinner with the family,  calls and my boss even made me a cake  and the guys in the shop sang to me, You gotta love them. Have you ever heard 7 mexican guys sing Happy Birthday...let me tell ya, its interesting!  I want to thank you guys for the calls and everything, you are all great.

 

 We are headed to Myrtle Beach for Bike Week and my best friend, Kim, is going. This is her first trip and she has no idea what to expect. This is going to be fun!!! Anyway, we will soon have pics of those in here for you to see. I can't wait, I'm in need of a break. I hope you all have a great weekend!!!

I also want to wish Valerie and Brian A very Happy Anniversery!!! Today they will have been married 2 years!!!

Well, I have finally gotten a reason to add to this thing , On Friday September 28th at 7:54am we added William David Parrott to the family. Weighing in at 8lbs 7oz. Had a head full of hair and looked alot like his older sister. Val is doing great and was finally sent home on Sunday and is lets just say adapting. I do and don't envy her. The neat thing was that it was Brian's birthday the same day . We won't say how old dad really is, I think it's older than me though!!! . Anyway, I want to say congrates to my sister and her beautiful family!! I love you guys.

Well, I know I haven't written in this thing in a while, but I really haven't had a lot of time. But for those of you who thought I had given it up quickly, I haven't. I will be out of the office and away from my computer  on Friday 28th until Monday 1st, as my sister is having her 2nd baby. So, I will be updating this before too long, with new photos of the newest addition to our family football team. We are also going to Bike Week the weekend of the 5th -7th, and there will be photos from that also. I hope everyone has a great week and I will be updating this thing with new pics  soon.

OK, so Im learning more about this thing, daily and having fun with it.  It has been a trip doing it! Feel free to add anything, but be nice. I havent decided what I'm gonna do with this thing, but, if nothing else, I will put more pics  on here and update it as much as possible. Thanks for all of you visits and send me an email sometime.

Ok, you guys that know me, know how lousy I am at computers and I'm just trying this out. So lets see what happens. I did this for those of you that can't see the kids regularly, and gives you ammo to talk about how bad my hair looks and how I need to lose a few pounds.   Have fun with it!!
